Lord of the Rings has been biggest thing to hit theaters ever. The Fellowship of the Ring introduced the characters as they began their quest to destroy the One Ring. In Two Towers, it was for a royal rumble as Saruman and a billion orcs tried to wipe out the heroes. Return of the King wraps up with a final three and a half hours of bladder-bursting goodness.

Aragorn, the mighty human warrior who is a descendant of the Ancient Kings of Men, was fated to get back and occupy the thone of Gondor. A marvelous fighter, he defends Helm’s deep with his great blade. Passionate, wise and brave, he earns the respect of the King of Rohirrim. He went up against a number of difficult challenges in the Return of the King, and he courageously faced each one. Aragorn showed everyone that even if humans did not possess such powers as the elves and wizards did, our race is still a great and unyielding one, with our hearts and our spirits as our ultimate weapons.

Legolas, the Prince of the Elvin Kingdom of Mirwood, became a part of the Fellowship of the Ring as a delegate of his nation. With his sharp eyesight and keen hearing, this elf prince is one member of the group who proved his indispensability by protecting his team and fighting of evil creatures throughout their long journey. The elf was unscathed through it all, but Orlando Bloom, the actor who played Legolas, was not quite so lucky. He suffered broken bones, cuts and sprains during the whole production period, but still, bravely went ahead and continued filming despite his injuries. Maybe Legolas could provide his human counterpart a bit of his elf magic? Just a thought.

Have you ever wished someone would write to you a love letter out of any character styles from the Lord of the Rings? Sometimes you want to associate true love to it. Who wouldn’t fall for that kind of romantic? I myself wanted to have my own copy. The thing is, it would take tons of effort to memorize then one at a time. And it would differ if one fancies handwriting or the electronic copy which is actually easier to decode in a sense. Take Sindarin for example. But it would be really nice, like Aragorn-Arwen type of romance, don’t you think?

And there’s another relatively surprising goof from one of our favorite stars from the movie. Orlando Bloom, also known as Legolas Greenleaf in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, well… made everyone burst into chuckles. If you’re tempted to sink in to his disarming looks and personality, let me tell you something that you should know. Our dashing dreamboat actually did something to boats in the movie. During the scenes where the fellowship [the nine members, that is] were in boats, Orlando Bloom sunk his boat two times by mistake, once with John Rhys-Davies and once with his size double.

Aside from the stunning effects that left everyone both awe-struck and love-struck, there are many things that can be learned after watching the movie.

One strong evidence is that it pulled people together to watch it despite the fact that it originated from a book, and folks would have the mindset that “you will fail to understand it unless you will start reading it”.

It stirs some sort of curiosity how the movie had reached even those who are not really LOTR fans, but what really matters is that the message came across them – friendship, courage, determination, love, and the like.

    Row, Row, Row the Boat

Read under one of LOTR fansites again, one writer observed something in relation to the movie-book tie-up.

“In the book, as the fellowship is rowing away from Lothlorien, Lord Celeborn and Lady Galadriel ride a swan shaped ship out to the middle of the river to wish them well on their journey and to share one last meal with them. If you watch the scene carefully, I believe it’s on the right hand side of the screen, there really is a swan shaped ship docked by the shore.”

Blatantly, viewers, especially the hardcore fans have a really keen eye with details regarding their favorite movie.

With so much thrill brought about by the LOTR to the old and young alike, it would be good to take a sneak on the unknown realms of the movie. This entry inspired by The Fellowship of the Ring Installation of the trilogy.

Elrond and Galadriel are only two of the elven ring bearers in the movie although it was not directly mentioned in any scene in LOTR. It is in Galadriel’s middle finger, as seen as she bids goodbye to the fellowship. On the other hand, Gandalf holds the third ring. He starred in all three cuts of the movie.

The cast of the movie are perfectly normal, although they all look really perfect all throughout the movie [come on, let's just admit it]. There are a lot of unknown quirks brought about by several cast members. Look who had his own style of flying back and fro to the set. Because of fear, for the scenes that were shot in the misty mountains, the cast had to be flown to some sites, Sean Bean is afraid of flying and so walked for two hours to get to the top of the mountain for shooting. Whew, now that’s way tiring.
