Fellowship of the Ring

It was the first movie adaptation of the said novel. It was a box office success earning over $870 million worlwide. It was shown to public on December 19, 2001 and it was highly acclaimed by critics and fans to be suffiently faithful to the original story. I’m not really sure if this is true because i haven’t read the book yet. But the movie really did show how the story line goes. Somehow, made me feel like I wanna be on that Era where monsters, and creatures, and humans lives together.
The actual story begins when Frodo (played by Elijah Wood) inherited the ring from his uncle. Then the Wizard Gandalf soon learns that it is the One Ring that Sauron (The Dark Lord) seeks to retake to gain power. Frodo was given the task to destroy The Ring. He needs to go Mount Doom in the land of Mordor, the only place where The Ring can be destroyed. He was accompanied by his friends, Sam, Merry, and Poppin. And of course, along the long journey, they will encounter a lot of challenges (as all movies or story would have) making it harder to fulfill their task.
Still, no movie is perfect, and moviemakers cannot just adapt the novel into a movie with no changes on the characters or to whatever part of the story. But what’s the big deal, not everyone is reading books. So just see the movie and enjoy it.
