Lord of the Rings Movies

Anticipation for big screen adaptation of The Hobbit is slowly building. After having gone through a lot of trouble during the preparations for the movie, preproduction is now in full swing.

The preparations for The Hobbit has not been smooth sailing. There were a lot of delays faced because of problems with the studio that owns the Lord of The Rings franchise. At some point, Peter Jackson was not even supposed to be going to be involved with the movie. But this was eventually sorted out. But the next snag was when director Guillermo del Toro had to finally drop out of the project because of the long delays in the project. This eventually mean that Jackson had to assume the responsibilities of director even though he didn’t want to at first.
