Frodo Baggins, the 111-year old son of Drodo Baggins and Primula Brandybuck, had been tasked in the movie with carrying the One Ring to Mount Doom in Mordor in order for it to be destroyed. On the way, he was extremely tempted to wear the ring in order to experience its tremendous power, but he bravely fought it off. If a Hobbit like Frodo can resist this kind of temptation with the actual object within his grasp, why can’t actual people do it too? Maybe we should take a leaf out of Frodo’s book. Evil is a thing we choose, it is not who we are, as the diminuitive Frodo Baggins showed.

Having thrice won Oscar awards for his movies, Peter Jackson, the brilliant director behind the Lord of the Rings trilogy, is reputedly planning to someday make a museum from memorabilia collected from all of his movies. And to all die hard LOTR fans out there, this is certainly incredible news. If completed, this museum could very well be an LOTR fan’s idea of paradise, where actual stuff from the movies could be seen first hand, and, hopefully, even touched. Legolas’ crossbow, Aragorn’s sword, and who knows, maybe even Frodo Baggins’ fake Hobbit feet could someday be the newest addition in one of the coolest (future)museums around!

There are many great scenes in the movie. I know you can name some parts. I love suspense scenes that are why I like those moments when Frodo keeps running away from the guys who want to get the ring from him. It is like as if I am the one who wanted to get rid of them.

How about you? If you want to know some great scenes or unforgettable scenes ever in the three LOTR movies, try to make a thread or a forum in the internet to know what other people thought about the movie. You can know their views and perceptions.

Frodo, who was portrayed by Elijah Wood, was the main actor in LOTR. I think almost everyone knows that! Elijah Wood did a very great job! Before he played the role of Frodo, he was not that famous actor until he starred in The Lord of the Rings. He was successful in capturing the viewer’s attention.

At first glance, I thought to myself, “Why him? Why not Legolas? (because I am in favor of him, kinda bias right? Hehe…)” But in the end of the movie, I liked Elijah Wood. Actually, I realized he is really suited for the role. Indeed, he is really a great actor!

John Ronald Reuel Tolkien was successful in coming up with The Lord of the Rings novel. Being a writer I know one of the difficult parts of writing a story is the conceptualization. I admire Tolkien because of his extraordinary concept. He is really talented because it is not usual to think about something that people will appreciate instantly. It is also hard to play about fantasy. This is also critical for writers because you must be creative enough to come up with something beyond reality. The thought must be captured y the viewers. Indeed, J.R.R. Tolkien is a genius!

I was able to appreciate every scene of The Lord of the Rings because of the settings. I really admire the place or the setting where each scene was done. It looks very real. It looks like as if I, myself is also in the scene. Because of the realistic setting, I was able to capture every dramatic event in the movie. Especially in Shire, the hometown of Frodo, I appreciate how this small village was constructed or appeared in the movie. When I was watching it, I instantly wanted to go on that place someday. It was very excellent!

People appreciate series movies because the thrill is there. We want to get excited with something. We want to have something to look forward to. We also want to make a theory now, and prove them later. We want to have something to discuss with friends, family, and people around. True right?

And since one of the natures of human is discontentment, they will seek for more. Even they were satisfied with the first they will wait for more to come to be fulfilled with their longings to be entertained. And that’s what happened in the LOTR trilogy that is why the movie became a box office not only in States but also in the other parts of the world.

Those directors of movies with Part 1 or Part 2 and so on do have brilliant ideas of attracting viewers. Just like the director of The Lord of the Rings, Peter Jackson who managed to direct the Trilogy. Since he was successful in coming up with the first movie of LOTR, he knows that his future plan of coming up with 2 more series would be also a hit. And he was right! He was able to make an impact in the Hollywood industry. Peter Jackson deserves great honor for making The Lord of the Rings Trilogy possible and successful.

What’s with LOTR that people like to watch the trilogy all over again? I know some may say, “because it’s the story”, “Legolas is handsome in that movie!”, “I like those series movies”. I am sure there are different reasons behind it. But I think those people who were entertained with the first LOTR movie would say that if the first movie is great, how much more the succeeding. This was also my perspective. So I stay tuned with the news, issues, and rumors about LOTR. I waited for the succeeding films. I guess my waiting is worth it! I enjoyed the LOTR trilogy!

I was surprised when I discovered that the “The Lord of the Rings Trivial Pursuit Game” was about Peter Jackson’s movie version and not the original novels of J.R.R. Tolkien. I assume that makes the market for this game a big wider, but I rather liked the idea that students of the Elvish tongue would finally have a game that played to their strong suits.
